Rudra-kunda

Rudra-kunda, or Rudan-kunda, after Puchari on the parikrama-marga around Govardhan. This is a small ghat at the end of the pond, which is rather big and situated amidst very beautiful environment. Kusuma-sarovara
6th of January, 2005 - 17:59
The pictoresque Kusuma-sarovara — "lake of flowers" — some two kilometers from Radha-kunda. The monument was built by Raja Suraj Mall, who was entombed, together with his wives Kishori and Hamsiya, in the three domes of the monument. Inside the domes, you'll find depictions of both Krishna's pastimes and the king's deeds. Close encounters

Close encounters with cute and hungry cows near Uddhava-kunda at Govardhan. Pilgrims at Radha-kunda
5th of January, 2005 - 17:35
Pilgrims and local sadhus on the bank of Radha-kunda. This side is called Das Goswami Ghat after Sripad Raghunath Das Goswami, whose samadhi-mandir is located nearby. Feast at Uddhava-kunda
5th of January, 2005 - 17:24
A gathering of parrots hosting a chipmunk for a feast of seeds at Uddhava-kunda. A crane near Govardhan
3rd of January, 2005 - 18:27
I'd imagine Baka looked something like this, if only a few sizes bigger, when Krishna and the cowherd boys bumped into him at the pond. This crane stands in the channel flowing after Radha-kunda in Govardhan-direction. Babaji Maharaja at the samadhi-mandir
3rd of January, 2005 - 18:21
Babaji Maharaja at the samadhi-mandir of Sri Kunjabihari Das Babaji Maharaja. It seems to be one of the sunnier days of the cold season. |
